black and yellow mud dauber

Sceliphron caementarium

Description:

female making chamber for her eggs to be laid in spiders

Habitat:

My porch

Notes:

They've been building their tube like nests for a couple years ago, but until now we haven't seen one in the act, even eating outside 2-3 times a day. Oddly, she buzzes quite loudly while working
