Stercorarius skua
This great skua series was photographed at Ingólfshöfði, Iceland, the world's largest nesting area for this bird. This large and massive sea bird (125–140 cm (49–55 in) wingspan) doesn't hesitate to attack other seabirds for food, and also humans if it feels threatened.
Coastal moorland surrounded by glacial black sand dunes (sandar). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ing%C3%B3lf...
In the second and third parts of this series, find out why this great skua is making itself heard loudly! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/349... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/349...
