Eastern Hognose Snake

Description:

A stout, thick bodied snake that can grow upwards of 4 feet long. Known for their defensive displays of hooding up, false striking, and playing dead.

Habitat:

Woodland forest habitat meeting prairie grass field.

Notes:

Unfortunately, I did not get to witness all of the defense mechanisms these awesome snakes have. This one was quite docile.
