Green Elfcup

Chlorociboria

Description:

Looking for an ID for this fungi species. I photographed this in the Western Ghats, India. The fungi was very tiny, each smaller than the iris of your eye. They did not glow in the dark.

Notes:

Thank you, Mark Ridgway, for the ID!

@Mark -- Wow, this is fabulous! Thanks a ton for this ID :) I shot this a while ago and these were the best shots I could get. I don't think I paid attention to the timber at all, was too mesmerized by the colors :) Thank you again, updating the ID now..

You might need to get closer shots and maybe even a microscope :-( but have a read of this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlorocibor... If the timber inside is stained or not would possibly help.
