Ringless Honey Mushroom

Armillaria tabescens

Description:

Same mushrooms I spotted Oct. 15. Maggots consuming them.

Habitat:

Loquat stump

Notes:

Saw these mushrooms yesterday afternoon. They still looked healthy. This morning I found most of the caps gone and a mass of maggots and mush. A couple of hundred yards down the road there were a number of clumps of these mushrooms in the same state.
