Histrio Tiger Moth

Aglaomorpha histrio formosana

Description:

This seemed to be a youngster, just getting to grips with its wings. Spotted in later afternoon in a small mountain village. I noticed it because it was flapping around on the road. As I watched, it managed to get to a safer place on the wall. It didn't seem bothered by my getting close to photograph it.
