On my window last night under the verandah light. Maybe 3 inches from wing tip to wing tip.
Cleared garden area on the edge of the Monteverde Cloud Forest, Costa Rica.
This is one of my favorites. When I'm out mothing for 4 hours every morning, these moths tend to land on me and keep me company for a while.
Am I anthropomorphizing them? Yes. Does it still bring me some small comfort in the wee hours of the morning? Absolutely!
