Description:

Very small and cute insects, typically hemispherical in shape, the underside quite flat and the fore wings completely cover the body. Small head with large eyes and short antennae. Sometimes called "Ladybirds" or "Lady bugs".

Habitat:

Often assemble in large numbers in the fall before going into hibernation for the winter.
