Common Warrener

Turbo undulatus

Description:

The colours of this sea mollusc caught my eye, made more vivid by the late afternoon sun, and the clear skies gave the water a really glass-like effect. I was thrilled when this little fellow came out of his shell to reveal the foot.

Habitat:

Freshly flushed ocean rock pools at North Avoca Beach.

Notes:

Beautifully crystal-clear seawater on the now receding tide.
