Lysandra hispana
A blue butterfly with dark spots & yellow marks.
Spotted at mediterranean pine mountain area, La Mussara, Catalonia. Is a southerly species with a largely Mediterranean distribution in Spain, France and Italy.
Similar to the chalk hill blue, coridon, from which it may be indistinguishable when they fly together in the summer and autumn.

Possibly a Provencal Chalk Hill Blue (Lysandra hispana), itself very similar to a regular Chalk Hill Blue (coridon). Reclassified as Polyommatus hispanus and in 2017 back again to Lysandra. Till next change!

I believe Polyommatus genus... maybe icarus? or escheri?
