Description:

Family: Araneidae (orb weavers) Genus: Micrathena. Female because of the large size and spines/spikes. Up to 10 mm in length. Red with black and yellow design. Red legs. Circular web hanging among grape leaves.

Habitat:

Lawn/woodlands edge in backyard.
