Selasphorus rufus
A fairly small hummingbird with a slender, nearly straight bill, a tail that tapers to a point when folded, and fairly short wings that don’t reach the end of the tail when the bird is perched. In good light, male Rufous Hummingbirds glow like coals: bright orange on the back and belly, with a vivid iridescent-red throat. Females are green above with rufous-washed flanks, rufous patches in the green tail.
Must be a young male, due to the vibrant throat feathers popping up!

Smashing !!! Beautiful shot !!
super shots
They are really beautiful! I love their rufous coloring! It really makes them stand out from the others at the feeder. I have also heard that they are quite smart and feisty! I've been told that they will often aggressively defend their favorite feeders!
I have seen one at the feeder for a brief moment. Beauty and i heard it is very brainy too.
Thank you so much FaredinAliyevski and LandmarkExpert!
