Spotting

Not sure what species, but I can tell you it is a brancher (baby) see how the wing feathers have a white flaky husk like substance almost to the tip, and it is even with all the feathers this means that they have grown at the same time. Under the white husk the feather is a liquid and if too many of these new growth feathers are damaged the bird can bleed to death. I'ed say what ever species it is, it is possibly little more then 4 weeks old.

Thanks Krista! It sure does look like a corvid. It could be in the woodpecker family too though...this is a tough one... a scrub jay is a really good guess though, especially due to the breast feathers.

Looks like the color of maybe a Jay possibly Scub or Stellar.
