Purple Shore Crab

Description:

Small crab with bow tie mark on top of carapace. This little one was found dead on the rocky shoreline. No trauma seen.

Habitat:

Rocky shoreline of harbor. "It can be found sheltering under rocks in inter-tidal areas along the west coast of North America, from Alaska to Baja California in Mexico."
