Wondering what species of hummingbird is on the right - I know the one on the left is an Anna's, but the one on the right doesn't look quite like a juvenile Anna's, its bill looks too long and curved compared to the Anna's on the left.

It is a male and female (both adults) Anna's Hummingbird. See here:

I couldn't tell, I thought it might look a bit like a juvenile black-chinned.

Too drab for Selasphorus sp., too large for Costa's.

Looks like you have to Anna's on a date.
