A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Project Noah Nature School
About 2 feet tall. Leaves a about 4 inches long and 1 inch wide.
Spotted on a path near a pond in a suburban neighbourhood.
Thank you foe the link dandoucette. It's close to where I live, so I'll probably keep my eye on this one and see what it does.
It looks like the staghorn sumac to me.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhus_typhin...
Thank you for the warning LydiaMarie. I don't recall touching it.
Hope you didn't touch! I think this is Poison Sumac!
You're welcome, hope it turns out to be helpful ... if you can't decide, but this plant is one you can re-visit, you could just check later to see what happens next. Great thing about plants, they stay put!
Thank you for the hint. :)
Not sure, but maybe elderberry or sumac ...
