Papilio troilus
Spicebush swallowtails: two females (the first four pictures) and one male (the last, with yellow instead of blue on his hindwings).
I really love these ones. I get loads of eastern tiger swallowtails in my garden, but only a handful of these. I always love how fluttery they are, almost skittish, and dainty. They don't land and hang out on a flower nearly as often as the tiger swallowtails do, almost like they're nervous or in a hurry.
You are indeed correct about the sexes, but I believe these are actually Spicebush Swallowtails. Please compare your wonderful series to the images in the link I provided above. :-)
Thanks Alice! The 4th is kind of blurry, but I guess it does show her wings better. Can I rearrange, or do I have to delete and upload them again? I'm new here.
