True Armyworm moth

Mythimna unipuncta

Description:

It is a medium sized moth with brown and grey wings.The moth is very common in this area some years.The moth was hiding in grass until I scared it, and it flew away.It has large bulging eyes with lots of brown hair.This species is larger than the fall of spring armyworms.The moth is nocturnal and probably feeds on dandelion flowers that are also common in this area.

Habitat:

Grasslands and attracted to lights outside.
