Description:

Shrub 0.5–1.5 m high, leaves and flowers strongly aromatic; branchlets glabrous, slightly angled to prominently 4-angled. Leaves pinnate with 5–11 leaflets, terminal leaflet mostly shortest; rachis 6–20 mm long, winged; leaflets narrow-elliptic or narrow-oblong, 5–25 mm long, 1–3 mm wide, apex acute, margins entire, recurved to flat, glabrous and ± thick; petiole 6–14 mm long. Inflorescences subterminal to axillary, in corymbose cymes, 3–8-flowered; pedicels 6–30 mm long, slender. Calyx glabrous. Petals 5–10 mm long, imbricate, bright to purplish pink, ± glabrous except for ciliate margins and fine pubescence towards apex, not persistent in fruit. Cocci glabrous.

Habitat:

Open forest.
