Lizard

Description:

This lizard was about 10 cm long I think, I never saw all of the tail. It popped out of the bushes and was gone in a second. Is it a Skink? It looked slimy.

Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.
