Walking Stick

Description:

Nicely camouflaged Walking Stick with dead leaf coloring. The last picture is how I found him at rest under a leaf.

Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.

Thank you NewYorker. C. morosus is a lab and pet species originally from India. I'm not sure this is that one. This was out in the forest in Mexico and must be something else. This one is covered in dead leaf like cuticular body ornamentation and coloring.
