Bees live in colonies. They feed on nectar and pollen, and produce honey as a reserve in times of scarcity. They communicate with a series vibratory movements that indicate the distance and direction of food relative to the sun. There are three castes of bees: the queen, the only fertile female. The workers, infertile females, do most of the tasks of the colony. They have a stinger with poison to defend itself, but die after nail. And the drones, which are male and do not work.
