Description:

A turkey sized rainforest bird native to Australia. Common around campsites where it forages.

Habitat:

Rainforest and wet sclerophyll forests. In the northern part of its range, it favours areas of higher altitude such as the Atherton Tablelands.

Notes:

Seen near Murray Falls, part of Girramay National Park.
