Saffron Finch - Pájaro

Description:

The male is yellow and orange tones in front and face. The female is brownish lighter on the belly. It is common to see them in groups of one or two males and several females feeding on the ground with grass seeds and sometimes insects. Nests in cavities and sometimes use abandoned nests of other birds. In some places it is highly prized as a cage bird by its song.----------------------------- El macho es amarillo y con matices anaranjados en frente y cara. La hembra es de color parduzco más claro en el vientre. Es común verlos en grupos de uno o dos machos y varias hembras alimentándose en el suelo con semillas de gramíneas, y a veces insectos. Anida en cavidades y a veces usa nidos abandonados de otras aves. En algunos lugares es muy cotizado como ave de jaula por su canto.

Habitat:

They are distributed in Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Panama, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay. Inhabits wooded grasslands, forests, parks, urban and suburban areas.-------------------------------- Se distribuyen en Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Panamá, Venezuela, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Brasil y Paraguay. Habita praderas en arboladas, bosques, parques, áreas urbanas y suburbanas.

I think your birdie is a saffron yellow-finch. I am not an expert but it looks like it might. Pretty bird, BTW :-)
