Common Gecko - Limpiacasa

Hemidactylus frenatus

Description:

Is a native of southeastern Asia. It hiding during the day. At night, they climb walls of houses and other buildings in search of insects attracted to porch lights. They grow between three to six inches, and live for about five years. They are harmless to humans. Like many geckos, they can release its tail when alarmed. Its call or chirp resembles the sound "tchak tchak tchak".--------------------------- Son nativos del sureste de Asia. Se ocultan durante el día. Por la noche, suben las paredes de las casas y otros edificios en busca de insectos atraídos por las luces de las lámparas. Crecen entre tres y seis pulgadas, y viven durante unos cinco años. Son inofensivos para los humanos. Al igual que muchos geckos, pueden liberar su cola cuando están alarmados. Su llamada o chirrido se asemeja al sonido "tchak tchak tchak".

Habitat:

They live in urban and semi-urban areas. Spread around the world by ships, these geckos are now common in many countries in America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.--------------------------- Viven en áreas urbanas y semi urbanas. Repartidos por todo el mundo por los barcos, estos geckos son ahora comunes en muchos países de América, África, Asia y el Medio Oriente.

Notes:

This particular specimen not entirely lost its tail, therefore grew a new one in the wound area.---------------------- Este ejemplar en particular no perdió del todo su cola, así que le creció otra en el área de la herida.

I've never heard of this happening even if tail is half injured, this is amazing! I had to favor it!
