It appears that there are several species under Helianthus which are also collectively called Sunflower.
Do you know any distinctive features of this one which identify it as "helianthus annuus". As far as I can remember this one was in cultivated land.

I am almost that it is a Sunflower. I am looking for a more definite ID (binomial name) if anyone can identify.
