Indeed it was the forehead spot, I only wished that I was able to get a head-on photo. The ears also seemed slightly stubbier than the eastern cottontails I've seen.
Very nice spot. Thanks for sharing. I have a question though, how did you determine this to be NE cottontail vs. Eastern cottontail? Was it the forehead spot?
