Description:

Grows in large clumps. Has densely covered upright stalks/stems.

Habitat:

This was found growing on the shady side of an embankment of the Yarra River. The area is known as being dry sclerophyll forest.

Notes:

Lichen, moss and ground cover are starting to reappear after the break from a long drought (10-12 years).
