It is an excellent climber that can be attached to any surface easily. It has hands and legs with five fingers that have adhesive pads that extend along the entire finger. These pads are made up of lamellae and cutaneous beauty that by friction favor adhesion to very smooth surfaces. This adaptation allows you to climb vertically and even keep your back down when walking on roofs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Se caracterizan por su gran cabeza de forma triangular y su cuello bien marcado, la cola ancha y no muy larga. Sus ojos son grandes y tienen pupila vertical, características que revelan sus hábitos nocturnos, aunque también se les ve a plena luz del día. Es de color pardo claro salpicado de manchitas claras y oscuras. Su aspecto es espinoso pues tiene en las escamas tubérculos prominentes. Si pierde la cola puede volver a regenerarse. Es un eximio trepador que puede agarrarse a cualquier superficie fácilmente. Posee manos y patas con cinco dedos que cuentan con almohadillas adhesivas que se extienden a lo largo de todo el dedo. Estas almohadillas están compuestas por laminillas y bellosidades cutáneas que por fricción favorecen la adhesión a superficies muy lisas. Esta adaptación le permite trepar verticalmente e incluso mantenerse con el dorso hacia abajo al caminar por los techos.
