Nest

Description:

Nest, 2-3 cm

Habitat:

Found on an asfalt path in a settlement area. Steap and stony terrain with a lot of dense growing trees and shrubs. 500 meters to the dynes of the Indian Ocean.

Notes:

It was spotted in the evening and the first photo are from the place of the spotting. I brought the nest inside to examine it a bit more. Took two pictures and decided to wait until the morning... And in the morning the "thing" was nowhere to be found.... :)

You're right, but not the end, it can be a talk show presenter.

Ha Sckel! You are right, it is almost like the spot lights are on the target on the stage. But I am not sure the audience would be happy for long :) The action part is missing in this show :D
Thanks Frazier for moving it to where it should be, as well as your suggestions for further research! :) Have a great day both of you!

Moved from "other" to Arthropods. This is probably a larval case rather than a nest. Take a look at the cover photo of the mission you've selected. That is a case of a casemoth (Family Psychidae). Another "maybe" is the larval case of a caddisfly (Order Trichoptera) but I think those are associated with aquatic environments. Sounds like it crawled away ...

I think you can put in the category arthropods
