Vulpes vulpes
The red fox is the largest of the true foxes and the most geographically spread member of the Carnivora, being distributed across the entire Northern Hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to North Africa, Central America and Asia. Its range has increased alongside human expansion, having been introduced to Australia, where it is considered harmful to native mammal and bird populations. Because of these factors, it is listed as Least Concern for extinction by the IUCN. Due to its presence in Australia, it is included among the IUCN's list of the "world's 100 worst invasive species".
Grassland by a lake
Finally after months of search for this intelligent species I found it while it was digging and it was so focused that it did not notice me being behind it. After some noise it looked up and saw me but couldn't decide if it should run or not so it was just starring but then I moved and it run away.

Oh no, didn't mean it that way! I found their pubs long time ago and I have photos of them but from a long distance. So I knew where they are but it's just luck nothing with smartness in this case :).
It is great that you are blowing sunshine on your self brother, then I dont have to compliment you :P Smarter than a fox huh lol!
That's true Marta! Thanks Tina, I haven't left yet but I already miss Denmark :). They are too smart that's why we can get photos of them.
Fantastic photo! Homesick again... It is very rarely you manage to see them, and I have never managed to take a picture of a red fox in the wild :) Well done!
This is always a very nice encounter! :-)
