Tiliqua scincoides
People may sometimes be completely ignorant of simple problems their actions might cause. This 'Blue-tongue' has tried to get through a rabbit-wire fence, got stuck and died there. It seems to have been a fully grown specimen.
At the border of a large country town and a local farm.
Estimated period of desiccation is about six months. As this species of lizard is highly mobile for some part of the year maybe these fences could be designed differently.
