Unsure if these are developing galls or fungal leaf spots.

Your right Martin. They seem to have a central puncture. It's a pity I did not see these or similar again.
These are neat. I tend to think linear patterns like this are made by an insect walking along the leaf and injecting an egg. Looking closely at the underside, they seem to have puncture(?) holes.
