Description:

Brown with small bits of white on its wings. I didn't get any better look at it than what you can see in the pictures. It took off, as you can see, while a snapped the second one.

Habitat:

UCF campus.

Yep, that's exactly what it is. Don't know why I couldn't figure that out myself, but after seeing your suggestion, I looked it up and found this page: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/north...
The "agressive rasping call" is a definite identifier. I see and here these guys all around my house very often.

I think it's a mockingbird, going by the overall shape and color, and especially the white wing patches.
