Nice spotting SMWG. there are three of these spider species in North Carolina. I identified this one down to genus level because it is almost impossible to define this down to the species level without more photos. Thank you for this lovely contribution. BTW I think you will enjoy reading the link I provided. It shall give you a wealth of knowledge about this spider in your area.
