Eurytela dryope angulata
Wingspan: 40–50 mm in males and 45–55 mm in females. The upperside of the wings is dark brown with a wide, yellow-orange band in the lower two-thirds of the forewing margin and the outer half of the hindwing. The underside of the wings is variegated in shades of brown.
Sub-Saharan Africa. This one was in Uganda.
In this case, I suggest, that you delete #1 from this spotting (by editing) and make a separate spotting from #1. In my eyes definitely not the same butterfly, might be the same species. I did not check male/female dimorphism.
I can't confirm 100% it is the same. But, if it is the colour that makes you think they are different than that should not because it just the camera/lightning. They were both the same colour and shade as in the first picture.
Nymphalidae, Eurytela dryope angulata, at least the second one, please, verify the species for the first one, if they really are the same.
