Eastern Fence Lizard

Sceloporus undulatus

Description:

The common name is Eastern Fence Lizard. It is a small brown lizard. I am assuming that it is a juvenile as it is only about 2 inches long. According to the Virginia Herpetological Society web site they are normally 4 to 7 inches long.

Habitat:

This little guy (or girl) was observed outside of my side garage door.

Notes:

At first i couldn't get close to it but as I approached very slowly I was able to touch it under its chin. I tried to coax it onto my finger for a better pic but it would none of that.
