Plume Moth

Stenoptilia zophodactylus

Description:

A delicate moth with pearly body and wings like lateral extensions and a span of about 10mm. Long spikey legs were white.

Habitat:

Spotted near a sports field surrounded by trees and grass.

Notes:

Caterpillars are said to feed on various members of the Gentianaceae family. Reminds me of a wind-farm turbine ! Synonym: Pterophorus loewii Family: Pterophoridae
