Pacific Black Duck

Anas superciliosa

Description:

Mostly brown with feather edges buff. A dark brown line runs through the eye with a cream border above and below. The crown is brown. Young Pacific Black Ducks are similar to the adults. They are about 30cm long.

Habitat:

In a wet drainage area of a local sports park just after rains.

Hi Sara. I think fungi season is over so this marks the start of moth season. Do you like these giant moths? :-) You're right. There was a bunch of about 6 of these guys all the same and I think they were looking to cause trouble. I could hear the paint spray cans rattling in their pockets.
