Wild Turkey

Meleagris gallopavo

Description:

About 2-1/2 feet from head to tail.

Habitat:

Spotted on the edge of a small field and deciduous woods behind a building.

Notes:

I was quite happy to see this fella, I've never seen a wild turkey before. I'm not as happy that it didn't let me get a better photo. I tried following it around a bit, but it was very elusive.
