Tonicella lineata

Description:

About 5 cm in length. Tonicella lineata is a colorful chiton with a reddish brown hairless girdle that has yellow spots. Each of its eight plates are covered with greenish blue zig-zag lines.

Habitat:

Spotted on a rock with crustose coralline algae, which it eats. Found in the north Pacific Ocean.
