I looked into Sckels suggestion of Scotch broom, and I agree that it seems to be very similar! But it is a nice looking plant (weed)! I would not mind to have at least one of them in my (non existing) garden :)
haha! This mystery plant created a bit of a drama at least :) Have you thought of planting the seed to se what comes up next year?? haha

Scotch broom
Tiz, was you who brought to light. It's a fabaceae in my opinion, would be more clearer if there were flowers on the branches.
Tiz, at least you had an idea of what it could be... besides, that's the beauty of this kind of platform!
O dear! The long, green things are actually the leafes... lol! I am so happy that there are more eyes than mine :P I thought the "Lupinus" was standing in a shrub! Way to go Sckel!
I agree with lucky, and the branches are similar to Cytisus, perhaps Cytisus scoparius. Unfortunately the flowers fell.
Thanks Logan...Yep I did see that the leaves were different from all the pictures I found on google. It is a wildflower, spotted it on my hike near loch Lomond two weekends ago!
Thanks Tiz, it does kind of look like that. Wish it had flowers, would make it so much easier, wrong time of year though I suppose!
It looks like wild lupinus seed pods :) Here is a reference http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnnylondo...
Best regards :)
