American Alligator

Alligator mississippiensis

Description:

This alligators are fairly young. They are a dark deep green with a light coloration on stripes. Large webbed feet with claws, excellent for swimming through the swamp. He also has a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, and an extremely strong forceful bite. Dude's got to eat!

Habitat:

Wetland area

Notes:

These alligators are apart of Gatorland's protection efforts of the species here in Florida. These are captive alligators.

Thanks for adding the information about where you saw them. You could add this to the Captive Animals mission (http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/7973...) and add the scientific name as well: Alligator mississippiensis
