Sus scrofa
Also this morning small wild boars are back to visit me: this time were 5, again alone, definitely hungry to get so close to the houses in broad daylight. As soon as they saw me they ran away.

Adorable!
There aren't deers or mule deers in these parts, but I imagine that their kicks are very dangerous! Instead there're many roe deer.
mule Deers can be very brutal too. People are advised to take care of their dogs in the presence of these deer. they kick very hard.
You're right Faredin, I've heard that several hunters have stopped hunting wild boars because they killed their dogs gutting them with fangs. Let me be clear, I don't approve hunting, but I'm very sorry for those poor dogs. :(
That's sad and yes you must be careful with these, the big ones can even kill a man.
Maybe Faredin, I suspect so, but it is hard to tell because around here there are so many wild boars. For several years the chestnut trees are sick and no longer produce chestnuts, so food is scarce in the woods and wild boars come frequently in orchards and gardens in search of something to eat .. We see them almost every night and we must be careful because the big ones if there are puppies and they feel threatened, they can become aggressive.
hehe, you got them again! The same ones?
So cute!
