I hatched this moth from a larva I found. In this picture, I have it on my finger. I am wearing a glove because when disturbed, this moth has the defence ability of releasing a foul excretion that is very hard to remove.

Salt Marsh Moth ok! That sounds right to me. I live very close to the beaches and creeks. So there is plenty of the right type of habitat such as salt marshes. Thank you so much LuckyLogan for your input! :)
