A completely black wingless assassin bug. The second is a dead specimen found nearby.

This link seems to indicate that the winged form is a male and the wingless is female. http://peonyden.blogspot.com.au/2011/11/...

I found a reference to a similar one with wings and now am wondering if they are wingless at all or just nymphs. I've seen about four, all wingless. http://morwellnp.pangaean.net/cgi-bin/sh...
