Description:

To 20 feet. Climbing vine. It is a cousin of the garden cucumber, but the fruit is inedible. When the fruit ripens the fibers burst and hurle the four seeds as far as 20 ft or more.

Habitat:

Streambanks, moist woods, marshes.
