Definitely. Unfortunately the breeding plumage on these and many other birds was favoured by feather hunters of the past.

they have such graceful necks and the breeding plumage is so delicate.

Can't go past a great egret image. Holding a natural history exhibition later this year and this bird is one of my featured ones after we collected some nice shots for illustration at the nesting colony.
