Carolina chickadee

Poecile carolinensis

Description:

Small bird of the tit family. Highly recognizable for its sooty black crown and black nape, with grey flanks. Finally, the cinnamon-buff coloring of the underparts is less extensive on a Carolina Chickadee than it is on a black-capped chickadee.
