Tulip Poplar Tree

Description:

Tulip Poplar produces a yellow-green flower shaped like a tulip in late summer. Tree grows to height of sycamore to be a good shade tree.

Habitat:

Likes slightly moist area.

Notes:

This tree is beautiful, spring to early winter when it loses its large leaves. The flowers are size of tulips. This tree is called a "tulip tree" in many areas because of the flowers.
